For this project, my aim was to create a set of landscape images that reflect the area of Barnes, London. I decided to focus on the plants and trees that grow in the Thames that pass through the town, and on its banks; as nature makes up a big part of the area.

This project was heavily influenced by Rene Burri's Former Summer Palace. Dead Lotus Flowers on Kunming Lake print. In her print, she increased the contrast so far that the only subject in the image that makes it clear that it's a landscape is the bridge in the background, which isn't even the focal point. I wanted to achieve this similar abstract effect for my final set of images.
